Youth Education and Employment Services

Building Careers, Restoring Hope, and Empowering Futures

Every young person deserves a clear path to success. Our YEES Department provides the specialized training, academic support, and mentorship necessary for Newark and Essex County’s youth to overcome obstacles and achieve true self-sufficiency.

Why YEES Exists

YEES dismantles barriers to success for young adults in Newark and Essex County by providing the professional certifications, academic foundations, and restorative mentorship necessary to transform lives into sustainable, self-sufficient careers.

Pathways to Peace

This innovative leadership program empowers over 20 youth annually through community service. Projects like “Pack-A-Purse and “Bridging the GAP” teach our young leaders the value of giving back while building their own professional skills.

NJ Build Program

This specialized initiative provides young women and minority residents (ages 16–26) with comprehensive job training and certifications in the construction industry. By focusing on underrepresented groups, we are creating diverse pathways to sustainable, high-paying careers.

YouthBuild

Academics & Leadership
