Every child deserves to experience the magic and joy of the holiday season.
For five years running, UCC’s Shop With a Hero program has paired more than 1,200 local youth with first responders, healthcare workers, military personnel, and dedicated community leaders for a day of holiday shopping, mentorship, and celebration.
We are gearing up to make our 6th Annual Shop With a Hero this December our most impactful year yet! The 6th Annual Shop With a Hero will take place Saturday, December 12, 2026, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. We welcome our community again this year to explore how they can get involved to support this event whether it be through a sponsorship to make a child’s holiday dreams come true, serve as a Hero by walking hand-in-hand with a child for their shopping trip, or volunteer to assist with event setup and breakdown.
