The Department of Community Engagements mission is to actively interact and engage with members of the community to make both potential and current clients and volunteers aware of all of the services that United Community Corporation offers. We also promote and support United Community Corporation’s overall goal of moving people from dependency to self-sufficiency.

The Community Engagement Department is extremely involved with event planning and organizing, which includes but is not limited to logistical setup, volunteer coordinating, designing t-shirts, banners and flyers, photography / media exposure opportunities, and day-of-event management.

UCC Mobile Wash

The pathway toward self-sufficiency for residents without addresses can sometimes start with the most basic of necessities often overlooked for individuals in greater need: clean clothes. That is why UCC launched a new mobile laundry wash trailer that is aimed to increase hygiene access to community members facing homelessness. The mobile laundry unit, which is free to use, is equipped with four washers, four dryers, and a utility sink to help promote better hygiene.
