
Through our Restorative Transformative Justice program, our vision is to create a safe space where all are welcomed but most importantly, where all will have the ability to experience healing, restoration and transformation.
The UCC RTJ program will highlight the 5 R’s: Relationship, Respect, Responsibility, Repair, Reintegration.

RTJ Vision

Our Goal
- Increase participation in education, vocational programming, and employment
- Increase participation in mental health and well-being programming
- Decrease incidents of harmful and unlawful behavior
- Establish working relationships with local law enforcement agencies courts, prosecutors, and defense attorneys to support the diversion of youth away from arrest and prosecution and towards participation and restorative justice services.
- Improve the socio-emotional and behavioral response of youth within the community
- Increase participation rates in restorative and transformative programs
Referrals
- Schools: in response to truancy, disciplinary incidents, including violence, or as a prevention strategy in the form of role-plays
- Police Department: as a warning or diversion from court, especially with first-time offenders.
- Courts: as a diversion, an alternative sentencing process, or a healing event for victims and offenders after the court process is concluded.
- Probation: to respond to various probation violations.
