United Community Corporation’s YouthBuild Program leaders this week welcomed its 2023 Fall Cohort of students and set the tone for an unforgettable journey ahead. The students were greeted with a jubilant introduction to get everyone excited and ready to dive into work. 

During the ceremony, the program leaders laid down the groundwork and ensured that every student understood the rules, responsibilities, and regulations that come with being part of YouthBuild. They covered everything from attendance and punctuality to the importance of teamwork and personal growth. 

Part of the students’ acceptance into YouthBuild was preceded by a thorough two-week Mental Toughness orientation. The program was aimed to nurture a mindset for each student to focus on their strengths, build up their sense of community and togetherness, and prepare them for the workforce. Upon completion of the program, the students were equipped to take the next step into YouthBuild. 

The event fostered an atmosphere filled with energy, positivity, and encouragement. The students had the opportunity to either meet or continue connections with fellow cohort members, forming bonds that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. 

The new cohort left with a sense of purpose, armed with the knowledge that they are part of something truly special. The YouthBuild program is not just a stepping stone; it's a stepping stone towards a brighter future, filled with endless possibilities. 

UCC joins the YouthBuild team in cheering on these incredible individuals as they embark on this transformative journey. May they conquer challenges, unlock their potential, and make a lasting impact on their lives and communities.
