There was no shortage of style, elegance, and beauty at UCC’s 2nd Annual Senior Prom event recently hosted by the agency’s Youth, Family, and Senior Services Department.
UCC invited senior citizens across greater Newark to partake in an evening of great cuisine, music, and entertainment emulating the opulence of the Roaring Twenties. The evening’s theme, which paid homage to “The Great Gatsby,” welcomed seniors to the West Side Park Community Center in Newark to dress up in their finest and most dapper threads, reminiscent of the flappers and sheiks who became prominent symbols of 1920s popular nightlife culture.
