UCC hosted a “Diaper Day” distribution July 15 at its Champion House Food Pantry, located at 409 S. 18th St. in Newark. The event aimed to support local families and ensure that every child has the basic necessities they need for their wellbeing. Diapers are a critical yet often overlooked necessity for families with young children. They are essential for maintaining the health and hygiene of infants and toddlers, yet many families struggle to afford them. By providing free diapers, UCC is committed to helping alleviate some of the financial stress on families, allowing them to allocate resources to other essentials. UCC extends its gratitude to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey for its donation of diapers. The food bank’s support plays a crucial role in making events like Diaper Day possible and helps UCC in its mission to better serve the greater Newark area.
