Executive Director

"Poverty is not a character flaw, it's simply the evidence of social economic inequality fostered by poor educational opportunities and off-balanced employment opportunities."

Craig Mainor, Executive Director of United Community Corporation, has a professional career that spans over more than 25 years, most of that time serving in an executive level capacity. He has worked in youth based educational programs, direct care social services agencies and non-profits servicing over 10,000 families in and around the New Jersey Tri-State area prior to joining the UCC team in 2014. Craig is an innovative advocate for approaches that lift communities out of poverty; believing that systemic change will come through community collaborations and partnerships.

Having compassion for those in need and a love of service, Craig's biggest motivation is remembering he is most successful when his service to others is purposeful and selfless.Once receiving many of the services he now provides, he has a clear understanding of the needs in the community along with additional solutions that can be provided. Craig comes from a family strongly rooted in service to this nation and chose his path of community-based services because of the wealth of life experiences that have firmly instilled the values required to serve others.
