Mr. Craig Mainor, Executive Director of The United Community Corporation, has a professional career that spans over more than 25 years, with much of the past 10 years as an Executive level manager and program director. He has worked in youth based educational programs, direct care social services agencies and both large and small non profits in and around the New Jersey New York Tri-state area before joining the team at UCC in 2014.
Craig is a strong advocate for innovative approaches to lift communities out of poverty and believes that systemic change will come through community collaborations and partnerships.

Ms. Rodriguez has over 10 years’ experience in the field of community service. She is able to move wih ease into situations that require strong communication, negotiation skills and appreciation of the perspectives of others. She brings to her position the ability to take constructive feedback, reliability and strong work ethic, and team work together with a positive attitude.
As property manager Yahaira ensures that the 34 unit housing properties under UCC’s care operate smoothly. She oversees the operations of the food pantry purchasing and restocking of food items and quality control.
Yahaira’s biggest motivation is to know the positive impact of our humanitarian efforts in the community.
Director, Youth, Family, and Senior Services
Yucleidis Melendez started her journey as a teenager volunteering at the Hoboken shelter and ever since then she fell in love with the helping profession. She has worked in urban communities to help youth and families. Her love to help others started in her college career as a member of the Kiwanis family and becoming the president of her college chapter. After graduation from college, she became a VISTA volunteer working with refugee and migrant families. Her passion is to help and empower others. Her future plans are to obtain her MSW and PHD in Urban Affairs. She hopes to continue working to be a positive change in the lives of all populations
HR & Accounting Specialist
Lisa Blaine comes to United Community Corporation with experience in Accounting in manufacturing, media and the beauty world. She is excited to bring her experience to UCC.
Grant & Development Manager
Joan has a background as a writer and consultant in community development, affordable housing, the arts, and education, and expertise in relationship-building and problem solving with multiple stakeholders. She has worked with hundreds of non-profits, private foundations, public agencies, and school districts to address racial and economic equity issues and transform policy issues into engaging stories. She’s happy to be working at UCC to help bring about positive social change in Newark.
Executive Administrative Assistant
Nicole comes to United Community Corporation with a background in education, insurance and as a director of an educational center. Nicole has always had a passion to help others and UCC makes that happen every day. In her spare time Nicole enjoys watching her kids in their after school activities which include baseball, dance and theatre.
